PNTF MASTERS COMMITTEE MINUTES - May 3, 2009


Present: George Mathews (MC), Bill Etnyre (VC), Ken Wienbel (Welcome back), Neal Stoddard, Carole Langenback and Bob Langenbach

Minutes from the Jan 19, 2009 approved with correction from 'Treasurer's Report' of 'outgoing' - Food for Sept. 5-5 to Sept. 5-6, 2009.

Treasurer's Report:
Balance of Jan. 19, 2009 minus the $82.47 (charged by Kenny for X/C race #'s) totals $9,995.48. All activity for this period is all outgoing. Ninety-six glasses for IKEA (Nov. 11, 2008) @ 99 cents each at $103.59, postage for thirty-six letters for nat'l champions @ 42 cents each at $15.12 & twelve letters for road race winners @ 42 cents each at $5.04, etching for Masters glasses awards from Burien Trophy (Jan. 26, 2009) at $467.83, thirty-six dinners @ $25.00 each for feb. 2009 at $900.00, sanction fee for the Spring Fling at $50.00, Seattle Classic at $75.00 and cost to Seattle Parks for Spring Fling at $385.00 leaving a balance as of April 19, 2009 at $7,993.90.

Events of 2009:
April 25: Spring Fling. Went well as competitors peeled off going into the Ultra/Wt. competition. Tentitive date for 2010, April 24.
July 17: Seattle Classic. Schedule handed out and OK'ed until - changes: Pole Vault to 11:00, High Jump to 2:00, Triple Jump to follow Long Jump and reverse Discus to 9:45 & Shot to 11:00. Nom Frontrunner awars. No Hammer on Friday.

Old Business;
None.

New Business:
Spring Fling expenses: Food - George for sandwiches $158.27 & water $8.98 and Carole $43.16 for chips/cookies.
Seattle Classic: Bill will get water at Costco, Ice at Safeway & will switch to Subway for sandwiches. George will bring pop & cookies along with the cookers from Idaho.
Road Championships: Will change the 5K from Fremont to the Woodenville Slough to continue to piggyback the 'Open Championships'.
Senior Games: Field on July 24 at St. Martins College and the 25th for Track at Tumwater H.s.


Adjourned Meeting at 2:27 following a teriffic Brunch and the next Meeting for June 5, 2009 (Friday) at 3:00 p.m. at the Langenbachs, 3779 So. 191st Pl., SeaTac.
