MINUTES - Minutes of the February 10th meeting were approved.
TREASURER'S REPORT - no report.
TRACK - 2009 club registration deadline is April 30, 2009. Cost is
$50. Late fees for returning clubs will be $100, so the total for a
late renewal is $150.

JUNIOR OLYMPICS
On time registration is $5 per event. Late registration is $10 per
event. Athletes must register at least two hours before the scheduled
time of their event.
Club assignments for the JO Association are as follows:
Long jump/triple jump - Cascade Striders
Long jump/triple jump - FWTC
High Jump - Rain City Flyers
Pole Vault - Rainier Beach
Javelin/turbo javelin - Flying AJs
Hurdles - SCAA
Hammer - Dwight Midles/Camas TC

Pass-through requirements for the JO Regional meet will be posted on
our website.
BACKGROUND CHECKS - must be completed by May 1st for coaches,
administrators, and anyone who spends alone-time with an athlete (i.e.
chaperones). The service that we're using is TClogiQ and it's available
online through the USATF website. There will be a cost of $8 per check,
but the Youth PNA will reimburse you/your club so hold on to your
receipt.
Procedure for background check:
1) buy a USATF membership at http://www.usatf.org/membership/?sc=TM
2) Go to http://www.usatf.org/about/programs/ to fill out the
background check.
3) Click "Criminal Background Check Program" (make sure your pop-up
screen blocker is off)
4) Click on "Begin Your Background Screen"
Once you're done, you will receive confirmation via email from TClogiQ
within 24 hrs and your name will be listed on the USATF website
(http://www.usatf.org/about/programs/backgroundChecks/info.asp?associationNumber=36)
which is also accessible from our PNTF website.
If you don't have access to a computer, or don't want to outlay the $
for the background check, Patti Petesch, our Youth Track Chair, will
make two nights available in which you can come down to Seattle Parks 'n
Rec to process the background checks. This will be by appointment only.

2009 X-C Junior Olympic schedule
Nov 14 - JO Association, Woodland Park, Seattle
Nov 21 - JO Regionals, Spokane, Plantes Ferry Sports Field
Dec 12 - JO Nationals, Reno, NV
2010 X-C Junior Olympic Nationals will be held in Hoover, Alabama (fly
into Birmingham).
OLD BUSINESS - Helen Woodke reported on having an informational booth
at the high school state track meet (May 29-30). The cost is $200 per
day which includeds four passes per day. Additionally, we could place a
$300 half-page ad in the HS State program. We would need volunteers
from all the clubs to cover a shift to be able to pull this off.

Oct/Sunday (exact date TBD) - annual meeting; 2010 planning
July, August and December - no meeting
